Taking interest in your child's school will earn you their confidence and will help develop a healthy relation with them. You can do this by fundraising and supplies for the school. It will show how passionate you are about your child's school as a cause. Fundraising can be done through fun filled activities.

Why do you need to do this?

Before beginning, gather enough right reasons which make fundraising at school an important need. After listing down those reasons, concentrate entirely on fulfilling those aims. Then move on to listing down other aspects of your planning that will turn idea into a success. Those aspects can be the following:

Book sale

Collect books from parents and students as well as from neighbors which they have read many times and are not in use anymore, for free. Sell these books at a very low price. Allow bargaining. Students get very attracted and wait for such kinds of sales as otherwise the books are either not easily available or are unaffordable. Apart from curriculum books, novels should be sold, too. It is a great opportunity for novel lover students to get their hands on their favorite novels at cheap prices. Not all books will be sold. Those that remain, can be given in charity to underprivileged kids or can be kept in school library.

Door-to-door sale

Carry out an in-depth research on some fundraising companies and then get associated with one of them. They will provide you with some goods to be sold by children door-to-door. Children will take part in this activity very enthusiastically and the benefits will depend on the quality of the products which ultimately will depend on your selection of the right company. The company should be renowned and experienced.

Carnival

You can do partnership with some NGO to organize a big carnival. Finding a venue will be a little problem causing. If you are unable to arrange such a big event for the first time, you can go for holding a small carnival at school only. You should work on the publicity of the event to attract maximum visitors. If the day of event is chosen to be Sunday then it will be truly beneficial.

Plan intelligently. Do not rush. But do not procrastinate too. Set a deadline for yourself before which you should be able to collect funds. If another school is holding any kind of event on the same day as yours, make a wise decision to change yours. You cannot afford conflictions in events.
